Best of 2010...

I got this idea for a "best of 2010" blog post from my friend Brittney's Blog. She has a great blog, so check it out! I am going to do it a little differently and post on one blog. Kris and I are going out of town for NYE so I don't think I will have much time over the next couple days to do a whole lot of blogging. We will be in Broken Bow (Oklahoma) so not too sure how the internet connection will be there.
...

I got married This year...in MEXICO and it was the most FABULOUS day of my life! The whole trip was unforgettable because I was surrounded by my closest friends and family and we were lucky enough to all spend several days on one of the most beautiful beaches!

...

This year my Brother got married also...which means I finally got a sister and it's been nice growing our family and sharing in this experience together.

...
Kris' team he coaches for went to the State Playoffs in football and that is always a fun time. They had the opportunity to play in Cowboys stadium twice and although the season ended in a loss it was fun while it lasted.

...

Above all I am just so HAPPY to have made A LOT of memories in 2010 that I will cherish and remember for the rest of my life and I am thankful to have all of these people in life (even if you're not pictured)!!

Dogs...

The dogs are stole the show this Christmas (as they always do) so I decided to contribute an entire post to them! My Mom brought her little yorkie Louie with her, so Gromit and Louie we just best buds all weekend.

These last 2 pictures are funny because Louie had stolen Gromit's bone he just stood there staring at Louie while he was chewing on it.

Christmas Night

For Christmas night Kris and I and my Mom went over to Carly and Jason's for dinner with them and her parents. We attempted to drink peppermint martinis, but they were way to strong to drink, so we converted to wine for the remainder of the evening. We did get a nice picture with the martinis before Carly's mother drank them for us, but since it's on the camera phone it's a tad fuzzy.
Jason had gotten these mustaches with some BBQ rub, so the guys were just dieing to try them on!

Christmas Morning

Christmas morning was spent at our house this year. We had Kris' family, my Mom, and Kyle for Brunch and it was just perfect. My Mom helped me prepare the food and I couldn't have done it as good with out her. We make a great party planning pair that's for sure! We ate opened presents and hung out for a few hours.

Kris and I with our "Big" gifts. I got a jewelry armoire and a new mirror and Kris got a sound bar and subwoofer for the TV.

Kyle Spent Christmas morning with us...which has turned into somewhat of a tradition I guess since this is his 2nd year to do it. Kris' parents bought him a bottle of Captain...now he is all ready for new years!

I forgot to take a picture of our tree with all the presents, but lets just say it looked like Santa WAY over did it at our house this year. This was after everyone had opened there gifts and just a few were remaining because we still had 2 more Christmas gatherings to go to.

Christmas Eve

Usually Kris and I don't have to split up the holidays by having to split time with my side of the family and his side of the family and this year was no different, but somehow we did end up having 4 different Christmas gatherings. Christmas Eve was spent at my Aunt and Uncle's home in Westlake which has been something we have done my entire life. We eat Lasagna, Caesar salad, and garlic bread. This meal has been a tradition for several years now and we all love it! Here are some great pics of my grandma, my Dad, my A&U, my brother and SIL and my cousin Tom. My sweet Grandma was getting around on her walker so well...looked like she really didn't even need it anymore how quickly she was moving. You would have never believed she had just broke her hip and had surgery only a month ago.

Just a few candid family shots...

State Championships

I am alittle behind on posting on the blog this month, so I will be doing some major catching up today. I wanted to share a few photos from the State Championship game at TX Stadium on Dec. 18th. We lost and didn't play our best that day, but it was a great accomplishment to even make it there.

The HUGE screen...and by the way it really is impossible to watch the field when you have this giant screen to look at; even if you're in the bottom section.

Kris got my Bro a field pass so he got to go on the field before the game, then he wanted to go sit in the press box with Kris during the game, so this is them on the field before it all started.

It was good for Kris that after this game was over he was off for 2 weeks, so he has had time to get over the loss and now get the mind ready for baseball in a few weeks.

Surprise...

I completely forgot to blog about my birthday...it just came and went so quickly that I almost don't even feel like it happened! Birthdays to me are less important/fun when you get past 25, so I guess that's why. I did have a good birthday weekend spent with friends and family. Kris surprised me on Saturday night with a birthday dinner at Blue Fish. We had planned on going there for dinner anyway, but I had NO idea that 15 of our friends and family would be there too! Kris planned it all on his own...evite and all! Sadly I have no pictures from the night because I left my phone at home and that's what I use these days for the majority of my picture taking. ):

My precious grandma...

My sweet Grandma Rie is one of the strongest people I know. She has always lived close to me so I have had the opportunity to spend a lot of time with her over the years. She recently fell and broke her hip on Thanksgiving and she has just bounced back quicker than you would ever think a 91 yo women could. I love her dearly and I just wanted to share a few photos of her!
With the Bride & Groom:
She didn't get to go to Mexico, so we brought her along to our "legal" wedding ceremony in Denton.

Laughing at me I'm sure:
This was at our TX reception...she was just so glad to be able to share with us.

One of the loves of her life:
Her one and only Great-Grandchild, Will, waited (and begged) for a great-grandchild!!

Her Pride & Joy:
Rie w/ Little Will a few days after her hip surgery. This is his way of smiling (so cute)!

Teams to remember play in December!

It's December and we are still playing football!! Which means we are headed to the Final Four on Saturday and just 1 game away from the State Finals!!! We are all very excited about this...
if you remember once upon a time I was a cheerleader at Ryan and we won state also!!

Slivocka Christmas

This month has been so busy and I have started several blogs and haven't finished them because I was too busy! Now most of them are super past due so I just decided to skip them all together. Some how in the midst of my busy schedule I did manage to decorate the house for Christmas, because having my house decorated makes me HAPPY!

Here is Gromit posing by the tree, this was about the 4th try so he was OVER IT!
Laia and Gromit's Stockings are hanging by the tree!
The whole living room scene...I love Christmas trees! Kris and I decided we are going to make it a tradition to fill eachother's stockings, or at least it will be our tradition until we have kids who care about stockings. I am super excited about this, because that was always my favorite part as a child.

I didn't get any pictures of the outside of the house because well it's been Freezing lately at night when I get home.
